i mean if theres a true, genuine conspiracy or efforts to have this so called ''black sites'' dont you think the reporters and journalists who went around reporting things like this also get disappeared ????

in most cases where there's something that 'they' don't want getting media attention, it's made known among the major publications that certain things are not to be printed - there's a lot of media showing US/israeli forces aiding ISIS for example, but it'd be a death sentence for any major newspaper not to dismiss it as 'propaganda' and 'conspiracy theory'.
something like this though is much lower profile and run by the Chicago PD rather than the federal government so they can't really threaten to choke the publication with their own purse strings. they just don't answer any questions and stifle any reporting - making reporters disappear would raise more questions than they could feasibly deal with -
