Govan and Petrucci technically are better than Satriani even though they use a lot of his style and riffs. But, in terms of composition, complexity and speed with limited mistakes Satriani and almost all other guitarists are no match for BH...in comparison BH has too many different levels, textures, patterns, unusual chord structures and churns out great songs one after another. Being friends I'm sure Sat shared many techniques with Bucket...however live you see the difference, perfect flow and feelings. BH's songs are also very emotional and few play with his passion. He also sees a cause and plays a song about it.
