What are you listening to right now, space nigga?

  1. I think I like this version better than the one I previously posted. Lots of sexy footwork. Cute dimpled grin at the end.

Might make this into a hymn for my new religion.

The organn is one if the instruments missing from modern music. In 1834 Hammond introduced the Hammond B3 organ which quickly gained popularity in Jazzz and soon blues/rhythm and blues. In the 50's roller rinks popped up everywhere and everyone of the had a Hammon B3 organ in it with an organ player.

This led the Hammond B3 into rock-n-roll. Many famous and well loved songs featured the B3. Such "Green Onions" by Booker T. & the M.G.'s, "Evil Ways" by Santana, "Gimme Some Lovin'" by The Spencer Davis Group, "Whipping Post" by Allman Brothers Band, "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan, and "Since I've Been Loving You" by Led Zeppelin.

What gives the B3 it's unique sound is that atraditional B3 organ is considered analog as its sound is generated by spinning metal "tonewheels" which create an electrical signal, unlike modern digital instruments that use computer-generated sounds.

    The other thing is horns...

Vox copied it with their Vox Continental The Animals used. they got as close to the sound as far as Synthesizer could get. it was when Synths started popping up left and right in Rock because the Hammond B3 was more Home and Church use. it was too big to lug around on tour. Vox copied it's sound which lead to some legal issues.

The Vox Continental was introduced in 1962 as a more portable alternative to the Hammond B3. The Hammond organ was designed primarily for home use and church settings, characterized by its heavy build and traditional aesthetics. In contrast, the Vox Continental was aimed at musicians looking for a modern instrument that fit the evolving music scene of the 1960s. Its sleek design featured reversed colored keys and a chrome-plated stand, appealing to the fashion-conscious youth of that era. This difference in target audience and design intent suggests that while both instruments served similar functions as keyboards, they were developed with distinct philosophies in mind.

400 pounds without pedal board (another 80 pounds
198kg just for the Hammond b3

22kg for a vox board with stand. I get drum kits can add up in weight but this would be a weird thing to lug around. moogs were heavy too and all of the peripherals added but synth boards shrunk super fast.

a friend of mine (Our parents were buddies and he and i hung out in 6th-8th grade) got me to sneak into a Discotheque once. I thought this was going to be the faggety thing I ever did but there were more women then men. We met some 17 year olds who used their sisters ID and we said we were 17 too when Obviously I looked 12-13.

He said I just had stunted growth. then we got caught and some old fucking 30 year old guys left with them offering a coke party while we got literally rolled out the door. Hard grab and thrown and tumbled. it was funny thinking back but that shit hurt. I tore my brothers silk shirt that cost him like 300 bucks.

Yep. but we got back in a few times. I learned to like Disco secretly anyways. You'd get your ass kicked in my neighborhood listening to that shit out in the open.
