That I had, and it was because of extreme stress. I haven't had any since years now.
They are pretty bad though. It's like an irrational strong fear that any moment you're going to die. You can't breath. At least mine was like that.

I never thought it was legit either lj. Its very real though and i dread every time i get into bed now.

I have anxiety attacks once and awhile due to a massive amount of stress. Thinking about going to sleep is the most anxiety i get now.

Here's some information you probably won't see anywhere else...still accurate. A minority of the population have a MVP...Mitral Valse Prolapse of the heart. Basically a slight problem with valve closure which is a bit off at varying degrees and allows blood not to flow perfectly. This in itself may cause palpitations, murmors or irregular beats...still not life threating. In many cases when a MVP is present so are anxiety and panic attacks...reason for defect not completely understood and yet they have manny different theories. I believe when you're awake it's difficult to notice...when asleep or resting the BP and pulse reduce and with added stress anxiety and panic attacks can be induced. Creating fear where the body reacts or wakens from a bad dream. As a result it further creates a very brief FIGHT FOR LIFE situation even though again it's not life threatening and where breathing better helps or not getting frightened. Some Drs prescribe Temesta rather than other meds and yet the episodes usually increase with more stress. So I believe it's oxygen based...like what divers experience in a much worse situation. First do a Dop-Ultra Sound test...if negative ignore everything above. Many reasons to experience SP or due to illnesses...still STRESS is probably #1 SO CHECK WITH A QUALIFIED DR FIRST OR COMPLIMENTARY MD WITH ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERIENCE FIRST FOR ALL THE FACTS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING AND EXPLORE WHATEVER HE SUGGESTS. COQ-10 made in Germany with a registered trade mark oil base is good for oxygen levels and a Nat Dr can provide it if needed which improves levels. Just don't experiment with drugs, calm down and start breathing better with walks in fresh air...so get the facts first and explore irrigularities. Also acid and HPylori bacteria can mimic many things...if present decrease it and all the stress as I said before.

Joerell must be wildin' to think she'd even respond to that essay. And if she does, it is a minimum of one sentence. Someone has way too much time on their hands, ey joerella?

I've always just wrote it off as a dream..

Hitting and kicking the bedroom furniture is more worrisome to me.. You have to repair or replace lamps and alarm clocks, and deal with the physical pain..

I wasn't going to say this but when I was dating Tamara, she was experiencing this. They were times when she started talking in her sleep but in tongues, like as if she was worshiping someone. I asked her if she remembers doing that, she laughed and say you're hilarious. It creeped me tf out.

So one night when she started doing it again, I didn't take advantage of her paralyzed condition. Instead, I kissed her on the forehead and then on the lips, whispered in her ear I'll pray for you, got out of bed, went on my knees where she slept, and started praying until she had stopped. I didn't tell her this, but after that day, she was no longer speaking in tongues nor witnessing any sleep paralysis.

What this means in short, is that you can make suggestions to yourself during this period that can have a life changing impact.
In this state of mind you can also experience divine moments of truth, OBEs, and remote viewing.
However, that is not all. Not even close.

THere's a trick to it though. Most people who become aware when their body is sleeping will have some sort of panic attack since they just pop into existence, can't move their body, and feel some sort of presence. Panic will jolt you out of the second state after a while and you will wake up. You must train yourself to not panic and to relax when you experience this, that will give you access to the holy grail of life. Its the same state of mind people aim for when they meditate. Mind awake, body asleep.

That's amazing advice. Plus your second post. Have you experience it as well as accomplished what you said? However, it's easier said then done to calm myself enough when in that state.

    @Jill….try melatonin
Start with the 3mg gel tabs……youโ€™ll have vivid dreams when you start taking it….but it really helps regulate your sleep cycle.
Take it like an hour before going to bed. ๐Ÿ’‹

Thanks lady. I've tried melatonin though. Didn't do anything for me. Not even make me tired. That was last year though. Maybe i need to give it another try. I was able to fall asleep easy but since this started, i don't want to sleep. I'm so exhausted, i was falling asleep painting a bathroom today.

The terror sounds like what people may experience during a negative trip, when the breakdown of the tripartite is overwhelming.

I want to touch your butt...
But you're exactly right about the negative trip. Like xlite said as well, it's like all the sudden waking up in a horrible bad trip from lsd or shrooms. I've had bad trips before. This trumps all of them together.

Thanks Joe. Maybe i should set up a appointment with my doctor if it continues which i fear it will since it happened again all last night. I would finally get my body awake. Walk around and drink some water. It still happened when i fell back asleep the second time...and the third.
