He is known to assassinate people who treathenes his position but really, who wouldn't do that if you in were his position.
He's been trying to influence europe to make them realize how fucked up murica is. He's had some success, not sure if enough.
He's been talking truth on russian television about the world, and how murica is trying to take over the world (nwo) -

After the Soviet Union fell apart Russia's infrastructure (largely their energy industries and public infrastructure) was sliced up and sold off to and by US interests under the auspices of Yeltsin. Putin was hugely responsible for pushing out the oligarchs and rebuilding the country at great personal risk to himself, and has been guiding the country fairly well ever since.
Keep in mind that contrary to popular belief (in propaganda), Putin's ideology is very 'moderate'. Russia has it's own 'deep state' and 'fifth column' - their 'deep state' is mostly cold-war era dedicated nationalists and the 'fifth column' is US/EU-funded neoliberals. The nationalists hate that Putin is not responding harshly to the constant political (ie. sanctions and the Skripals) and even military attacks (specifically in Syria) in favour of working with the 'west', and the neoliberals hate that he's working with China to upend the global economy and taking economic power away from the current magnates.
He's in a very difficult position and has so far maintained an excellent track record...The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

First I have to say, I am nowhere informed as you are on global politics and history, you are a wealth of knowledge.
Moving on. I’m quite sure you are correct when you say our view of Putin/Russia is skewed by the media, and what our govt wants us to know.
I feel like it seems as though his people like him, but they have no choice to say otherwise.
Now, you speak of them having a “deep state” and fifth column. Do these people voice their opinions without backlash from Putin?
I will give him props for being good at what he does, but what he does is devious and inhumane, something I cannot stand behind.

With this I agree. In comparison Obama was a complete idiot not even being respected by any leader of the world in the end. Main reason Putin gave Obama no credibilty whatsoever and would not work with Clinton. Putin rebuilt Russia and his military basically from scratch and should be respected. The US is actually not an enemy...Bratva is in his own country including extremists in the LKGB of the old guard. Good thing Putin hates Merkle including globalists who are pushing illegal migration and why there's hope with his meeting with Trump. Also why Trump wasn't strict on NATO spending yet...he first wants to see what he can accomplish with Putin and in reality globalists are the number one threat to both the US and Russia pushing for war. Thank God Clinon never won....she's a globalist along with all her inner circle and members in Dem security. -

I sought member opinion of Putin -- I feel that my OP was stated to reflect that.
Many subjects can be discussed with others if there is a subject and an invitation to opine. See?
Since Putin is in the news quite a lot I was interested in knowing what others' opnion of him was.
There is no need to verbally attack or attempt to demean any other member over their expressing their person opinion, is there?
I doubt that there are any actual Russian citizens posting on this thread, therefore, whatever is expressed is what one has read or heard and formed an opinion they label as theirs.

There's nowhere near the level of censorship the media likes to imply is imposed on them. You can see for yourself if you speak Russian or use google translate; just spend some time on their messageboards/blogs/vkontakte etc. Tends to be fairly ordinary stuff.

When I say those things I mean they're actually embedded within the Russian government and power structures. The hard nationalists hold a lot of sway in the military, the neoliberals in state industry and the media. They're not just noisy either, they have significant power as they've apparently pushed through extremely unpopular pension reform in an effort to damage Putin's popularity.
