When I turned 16 my dad got me a self-help book of a very personal subject with an embarrassing title. I couldn't believe he made me open it in front of our extended family. It was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life and I think I threw it out right after the party. Dad is normally very thoughtful in his gift giving, and a terrific human being, which made this all the more perplexing.
For Christmas, my evil sister got me tickets to a concert I had wanted to see but didn't think I'd have the time or money. She even called my father ahead to see if it would be an appreciated gift, which he confirmed. She kept bothering me to redeem the tickets with very aggressive language, so I decided not to, just to see what she would do. She was enraged and blew up my phone with nasty messages, but I ignored her. I knew there were strings attached when I got the tickets, as tends to be the case when a manipulative gorgon offers you something you desire, but in truth, I actually wanted to go.

A few years back we did a 'Secret Santa' thing at work. The person who got me was an older lady in her 50s, nice enough but we barely knew each other. She apparently asked Dave, a co-worker and friend I'd known since high school, what she should get. Apparently he'd managed to convince her I was super into My Little Pony and showed her a bunch of 'brony' pages to prove he wasn't joking. When I unwrapped it and showed the office, it was very difficult to tell her thankyou and not to tell Dave to go and fuck himself.

Addendum: I got a Filipino guy who liked to pretend he was black. His gift was half a watermelon, grape soft drink and a book of KFC vouchers. I don't know if that was why but we didn't do secret santa after than year.

I got a Mamod stream tractor when I was 10 when I wanted a train set...I was pissed after dropping 10000 hints. Still that steam tractor turned out to be a great gift as I lead to my love of consuming methylated spirits.

My first CD I ever owned from this popular boyband my sister got me for Christmas it meant a lot to me
I played that CD all the time, knew every song and every lyric haha
My sister was in town this weekend I wish I had of asked does she remember getting it for me

It was a big Pink phone with cards that had guys numbers and their pic and you can call them and they’d say like a few phrases 😂
Guys with names like Chad, Brad, Tyler etc and the pics looked like they were some country club kids lol..
All the numbers were 555 something and I remember trying to call one of the numbers on the house phone and got an operator
That’s how I learned what 555 was for ROFL

One that I received this last Christmas from my BFF of 31years. She got me a 23 and Me geneology kit. I was adopted, so finding out my ancestry was great experience. This is a gift I’ll never forget❤️
