2018-07-05 at 2:57 PM UTCIf it wasn't for the parents of the girl my friends and I volunteer for she never would have ended up burned and in hospital due to a fire related to drugs. As soon as she was placed in a decent foster home she immediately improved by 50% and her advancements so far are incredible. She has plans for the trust fund which was set up for her and wih a strong desire to do well. Being free of druggies, psychos, liars, users and heartless people she will survive and her attitude has changed. Medically she's ok...thank God.
Many kids mimic dysfunctional parents also becoming druggies and abusers and only the strong ones escape. Bottom line some parents should not preach or give advice before they deal with their own mental issues and hate. Example in an extreme case Richard Kuklinski ( The Iceman a mob hitman who killed over 200 people ) was severely beaten by his father a drunk as a child and in retaliation started killing cats eventually also bullies who chased him. This triggered his mental illness and he even admitted that maybe he would have been different with good loving parents. Some parents try to make themselves look sane to others...yet are disturbed themselves inside and main reason their kids turn out bad unless they're in the minority who are independent with intelligence and able to cope. As soon as a kid starts beating his parents don't assume he's crazy...you have to look at the whole picture and what motivates him to be violent. -
