Same as someone who never drinks and then has a few glasses of whiskey; since they have no tolerance, it hits them hard. After you smoke weed for a few weeks, you become acclimated to it, and the buzz becomes much more mellow and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who suffers from anxiety/depression.

you don't know what you're talking about. i was smoking hash from about 14 onward regularly. by 18 i was selling it and going through an 1/8 to a 1/4 every day. by about 21 i was starting to get really paranoid and anxious every time i smoked it. after a little while of that i completely stopped, had no inclination to smoke what so ever. around about 38 i tried a small spliff one night while sitting at home and enjoyed it just listening to music and that. ever since then i just buy the occasional 1/6th or 1/8 and will never smoke more than a couple of small single paper spliffs to myself in an evening. i'm ok with that, i really enjoy it when i'm bored with fuck all else to do. but i know what would happen if i started smoking full on again like before.

I can probably count on two hands the number of times I've tried it. I would try it every once in a while years ago and I couldn't understand what all the fuss is about.
I don't "get" it, it just doesn't work well on me. It feels like the dirtiest high ever and I'd rather do no drugs than do thc. And it's weird because maybe 2 out the 10 or so times were actually more pleasurable than not, but I don't have the patience to find what strains I do or don't like in a weed-unfriendly state.
