It was going great and everything, I actually liked the place and received the first weeks pay into my bank accoount. And I even told the dude that interviewed me all about it and he said it was cool. I got hired in a week ago, been showing up and doing good work and then all of a sudden today, I get ushered away and told I failed the drug test (which I totally knew was't true and initially had me really pissed and confused and worried), so I called the lab, they couldn't tell me anything and told me to call the hiring manager person or whatever of the place, I call them and that's when I found out the drug test was ok, but I got let go because of my "criminal background".
My conviction is "aggravated assault" because this one time 7 years ago, when I was just 2 weeks into being 21, I was drunk and being rowdy, making some obvious B.S. threats of violence, and just being a faggot, so my mom called cops. That got me aggravated assault on the technicality that since the other party felt they were in danger or something, it went down as aggravated assault.
As a matter of fact just last year my parents hired a good law firm to get this bullshit expunged, and it's close to the time go ahead and file the expungement and be done with this shit. I asked the person at the place if I could still re-apply after I get it off my record, and they said I could, so hopefully I got a foot in the door with the work I put in and this will just a temporary set-back and I can get back to working there.
Also TLN i'm still gonna pay you even in spite of all this, all this shit is 100% true not a bs story to dodge paying you.
This is what's wrong with our society. Good people like me get rejected from doing good quality work and meanwhile the same company still goes ahead and hires riff-raff anyways.

Sorry to hear that Actor, pretty shitty of that place to run a background check AFTER they've hired you. This seems like something you would want to do before you go through the trouble of hiring employees. What if you were a kiddie diddler, and had already kiddied their diddlies? And really, that charge you have is nothing. What are they afraid of? If you had MULTIPLE aggravated assault charges, then I'd consider it a problem but one instance, years ago. Pffft.
