i'm not necessarily disagreeing with that, but opiates/opioids undeniably cause a change in brain chemistry. i mean isn't that the point of taking them? you feel good, and if you continue using them on a regular basis, your brain adapts to it on some level and makes changes that you will feel when you withdraw. babies get super fucked up when their moms do a lot of drugs, and there is definite evidence of babies being born addicted to opiates. is this not representative of a change in brain chemistry? opiate withdrawal can be bleak as fuck for me, an adult, so what do you think it would do to the mind of somebody who was literally just born and it's their first experience of reality?

this, it's stupid to deny the harm that drugs do and it's more likely to get you in way too deep i think because it just gets you used to deluding yourself until it reaches insane proportions. i've seen more than one person literally tell me they quit doing pills/h, as they are racking up a line or cooking it down. another guy i know has been shooting h for like 7 years daily and has told me the entire time he's in the process of quitting. like at what point does the bullshit become so overwhelmingly obvious that you're forced to accept it? -
