2015-10-05 at 2:52 PM UTCThe media says China is the enemy. That is for public consumption.
Meanwhile, diplomats are improving relations with China and they have pledged to work with the USA to remove nukes from North Korea.
The media is essentially giving you a narrative and exploiting your opinions to keep you out of involvement with government shit. -

I don't know what you mean.
I mean you think you're posting to people who don't already know. That's why you get the response you do. You're like a school kid who just learned something that is new and exciting to you. So you run home all worked up and blurt the information out to your family. Then when your Dad says, "that's nice go do your homework", and your mom replies, "interesting, now change out of your school clothes before you go outside and play", you reply, "I don't know what you mean". -

Well, it probably helped i was a bit of a recluse mostly just hanging out inside by my self or with a good friend or two instead of going outside to play when i was but a wee lad. -

I grew up with dirt bikes from age six. If I had not had "play" clothes I would have went to school looking like pig pen from the peanuts. Up until 6th grade that wouldn't have really mattered to me. But in 7th grade they cured cooties and girls turned out be cool once they were cooties free. At that point I got it. To this day I have work clothes, casual clothes, and dress clothes. As do most of the middle class I assume. -
2015-10-07 at 3:13 PM UTCI literally wasn't allowed to play inside during summer, unless the weather was bad
I could come in to get a drink or use the bathroom, but otherwise we had to go outside.
We were expected to come home before dark, but otherwise, my mom didn't really care what I did or where I went. -
