    But if a user is shitting out 300 shitposts a day, as amusing as they are, and plastering them across the BBS, that's not fair to the other members. If the community doesn't have at least the most basic rules, it dies. This has been proven time and time again in our history. The only real problem is, some people never learn. But with Finny, it was more of a protest of the state of the forums than inane posting.

    Personally, I would have simply opened a chat and opened a conversation with Finny and worked out the problem that way. A ban button is supposed to be the very LAST resort, but yet time and time again we see that used as the first responding tactic. And they know it's a failing tactic, but they keep doing it anyways.
