    Taking benzos daily, in general, is a terrible idea. It's absolutely insane that they're prescribed like they are. All these people who are stupefying themselves in the name of fear. Havoc on the brain too. Long term benzo users have a significantly increased risk of developing things like dementia and Alzheimer's.

    It's almost as bad as giving kids amphetamines/methylphenidate.

    I agree, simple GP's with no strong diagnosis talents should not prescribe them without further investigation and some hand them out on the first visit...people hear about this and soon the doctor triples his patient list. Pharmaceutical companies visit doctors every couple of weeks and give them incentives to offer samples. As soon as a patient claims to have anxiety and panic attack he or she should do a stress and ultra sound test to rule out MVP and see if there is any fluttering or palpitations free of drugs. Esophageal Motility Disorders can cause strong palpatations leading to anxiety and panic attacks including extreme allergies if adrenaline is high and I'm sure most physicians don't care if the visit is only 10-15 minutes. Good Arab doctors amazingly enough do visual checks first and then do vital tests. Then they're scolded for taking too much time and are forced to do the opposite. Once on the meds health decreases and new symptoms show up like nerve damage.

    I’ll be fine going off the klonopin. I cold turkey quit for weeks at a time without issue now. Idk what happened but something in my head changed. One day I was just different and benzos did nothing to me anymore, and didn’t give me withdrawal either, it is fucking weird

    @narc I’m on 300mg Pregabalin/lyrica twice a day

    @jigga my nerve pain is caused by tactile pressure combined with overly sensitive nerves. Massage hurts. Lol.

    Totse literally invented the concept of being an informed druggie. We know these things.

    When I had panic attacks it felt like I had a heart issue and I was afraid of dying. After I stopped being afraid of dying I stopped getting 5he feeling randomly that my heart was messed up, haven’t felt that sensation in years now but for the first several years I felt that way and it began without medication use.

    Up until I was 34 years old I used to get unbelievable chest pains. It felt like someone was laying on my chest that weighed 300 lb. I had X-rays done EKGs and they could never tell me what was wrong. I was working in a nursing home as an activity coordinator and an RN noticed I wasn't feeling well. I told her what was going on and she said that I had acid reflux. I looked at her like she was crazy I said it's not burning and I haven't eaten anything today. She then told me that there are as many types of acid reflux and that's what I had. She said here take this pill and in 15 or 20 minutes you're going to feel better. I thought yeah right it can't be that easy. 20 minutes later the pain totally stopped. I must have hugged her and literally cried because I couldn't believe something that's simple could have been fixed so easily. The pain that I have been feeling for 35 years at some point I thought I was dying that's how bad it felt and what was worse no one can tell me what was wrong. I also get panic attacks and I know how you feel it's terrible feeling.

    benzos were meant for short-term management of panic attacks, not long-term treatment

    Yes, they started out as short term and wrote them in as long term because they were the only thing that helped my restless legs. Still is the only thing that helps so hopefully an alternative is figured out, I hate being awake because of them

    Honestly I don't think they should be prescribed outside of a hospital setting. Taking benzos for anxiety attacks is such poor mental conditioning. People should be learning to deal with their problems instead of taking drugs to escape them.

    And of course, being prescribed an escape makes people think it's okay. Then they start to believe they need it, like they can't function without them. They need it to be 'normal' but nobody ever tells them that anxiety IS normal. Nobody sober walks around 100% carefree all the time. They simply learn to deal with their problems and overcome them in a healthy, real world way.

    There should at least be a mandatory period where you need to have been with a therapist of some sort before they start doling out addictive, damaging drugs.

    Yeah, I saw therapists, lol.
  16. Benzos have saved me from going off the deep end. I’ve also learned other coping mechanisms over the years but when my mind gets to that point where I can’t shut it off no matter what I do and I can’t control the physical symptoms of anxiety, I’ll gladly take a Benzo.

    I don’t need to remember my name when I’m 80 anyways.

    It's really all about the $$$. They don't give a rat's ass about society or the kids or the people they hurt.

    The crony capitalists, in their endlessly capacity for evil and shameless and brazen greed and despicability, have been pumping our food, our air, our water, our soil, our plants, our animals, our bodies, with deadly neurotoxins for decades. Levels of poisons unheard of until modern times. The older people are less affected, because they lived in a time when it wasn't so off the charts; their environment wasn't so hijacked, but in modern times, they have been pumping the kids and their world full of deadly chemicals which attack brain function, body function, their nervous systems, and cause a literal host of other life-changing and often permanent damage. Then the very same scum come in to capitalize on their handiwork, by pumping them full of costly pills, sweeping them all under the carpet with paralyzing and hypnotic and life-destroying concoctions. If a doctor tells you something, you have little choice but believe it, and that's the filthy and slimy crooks' ace in the hole. These stinking cockroaches know they can't be stopped, and that's exactly why they do it.
