2018-06-08 at 8:42 PM UTCI’m sick of seeing my feed full of fake people saying “reach out” “I’m always here to listen.” What about all the non famous people struggling around you every day... silently...un-noticed. Just like him. Also the people who say it’s selfish or stupid... I just can’t take it. I’ve had to stay off my phone today. I walked out of a canna chat room on TC because people were talking out of their ass about this.

2018-06-08 at 8:50 PM UTCWell it is pretty selfish considering he has a child who will now grow up without a father. I don't give a fuck about anyone else, but killing yourself while you have a child who loves and cares about you is probably the worst thing you could ever do to them. An 11 year old, no less. I can't imagine a much worse age. She's old enough to remember, yet young enough to not really understand or comprehend the full spectrum of what's going on.

She'll be fine, she's near the age she'd start hating her parents anyway. -

It is, but I personally know life can reach a point where it's so unbearable suicide is effectively unavoidable. There's only so much humans can be expected to endure. Keep in mind that this level of suffering can occur simply due to genetic variation, not to mention things that happen in your life. -
2018-06-09 at 10:53 AM UTCPeople that talk about suicide don’t really want to do it. It happens when no one has a clue it’s coming.

2018-06-09 at 10:59 AM UTCThat’s your opinion. Remember I’m an old lady, lol. Lord knows I couldn’t know what I’m talking about. I haven’t been around much to experience anything🙄

2018-06-09 at 11:02 AM UTCYou are wrong, though. No opinion here. Facts. Your age doesn't change that.
It's easily googleable so go ahead and learn something. -

you're wasting your time. when we're young it is impossible to even comprehend how useful and valuable actual life experience really is. think back when you were young, when you thought you knew it all and you'd argue with adults, genuinely believing they didn't know wtf they were talking about. then remember as you were approaching 40 or so and you started to realize just how idealistic you were and how much you really didn't fully understand shit when you were younger, even though you really thought you did. its quite a life defining moment that realization as to just how much you didn't really have a fucking clue at all.

2018-06-09 at 11:54 AM UTCAge really has nothing to do with it. If you’ve experienced suicidal ideation then you have an understanding.

Both of these statements are true in some situations but not all. -

mental illness can skew things somewhat.
but generally its true, people who say they are gonna kill themselves don't want to die, they just want their life circumstances to improve, the threats are just calling for help from others to make that happen. of course some will go on to think it never will improve and will eventually go through with it. you can usually bet on the days leading up to the suicide that they will be pretty quiet about it then tho.

I remember thinking I knew it all. Life humbled me real fast. My son is in the know it all stage, but I do see him learning hard and fast.
Of course everyone is different, but for the most part, if you really are ready to die, you’re not gonna tell people so they can try to stop you. Of course there are people that talk about it, but when they are truly ready to kill themselves, they won’t say a word.
