the government can't control how much work needs to be done (which varies by industry) outside of a fascist or communist structure. Reducing the 'working hours' per week without being able to reduce the amount of work required will just lead to companies trying to find ways around it, especially given that different industries will be unevenly impacted - even in low-skilled jobs it (statistically) takes around six months of training and practice for an employee to become proficient at their role. In more skilled roles (ie. jobs that actually pay more than minimum wage) you need people with uncommon skillsets, ranging from tradesmen who need several years of apprenticeship, training and experience to doctors and engineers who need years of full-time training to middle-managers who need to spend years hitchhiking and getting tricked into gay experiences and phantom babies.
It's kind of like the complaints about the H1B program in the US, people complain that foreigners are being given the most lucrative jobs over US citizens, but the education system has failed to such a degree that there are simply not enough competent prospects if the companies in question were forced to hire domestically -

I could easily give up alcohol forever, but I'd honestly feel like life would be so unbearably bland if I didn't smoke down at least a few months out of the year.
All my friends.. Hell, nearly all the people I went to school with period are either in jail or doing meth now. I don't come from a real rough place, that shit has just taken it's hold here. Shame too, because unlike years ago when everyone had weed and loved smoking down with people just so socialize, now finding a quality bag is about damn near impossible or it'll cost you some ridiculous amount of money. Besides, you get money from the government because they've accepted you're a piece of shit. They can take it away at any time. You are far from independent.
Right now I could live in China indefinitely on my independent income. You can't move abroad and still get welfare. -

You don't even need to tax people if your country runs on fiat. Central bankers i.e. the Fed can just print X amount of money to pay for everyone's welfare and all the social programs. The problem is, if you do it for too long you will obliterate the value of your currency. This is why in Japan for instance you pay thousands of Yen for products you'd pay 10-20 dollars/euros for here in the West. -

Italy, France, etc., just prop up the elusion there is an EU economy and Germany being the most corrupt makes the most profits. Seperate nations can't even make their own immigration polices and main reason the UK left. Too late...London is being destroyed by illegals and radicals. Profits are also not that high considering the migrant problem and over used social services. Italy for example moving to the right wants to stop using the Euro and start trading on it's own with no restictions. Politicians don't run the countries...non elected opportunists do in Berlin and eventually the truth will be revealed. Their militaries are useless and why Russia is so bold and confident. Without the US Europe would be helpless and why Trump will get most of what he wants at the G7 meetings. France and Canada already support his move on N Korea and claiming the EU is a united force is a joke since they are actually frail.
