This is weirdly fun, wasting a stupid amount of time on it but what the hell. Kinda brings back fond memories of being a draftsman although that shit wasn't fun like this is. The stims might be helping though.

OK, finally done with this stupid thing lol. What a waste of time, although it was fun. Getting OCD over stray vertices or lines, or trying to reduce polycounts is strangely satisfying. Some results:

And the 3D version if your browser supports webgl:

I'm working with sketchup. I know it's kinda casual as far as modeling goes but the paradigm is pretty similar to classical CAD software so it's a lot easier for me to work with than, uhh, I don't even know what the hip thing is these days. 3DS? I've tried using blender a number of times and can usually limp through but the "deform primitives" mode of work foreign to me. Give me lines and faces and a ruler and I'm comfortable. It might be slow as tar, but it's a mode of design I understand.

We’ve got an inexpensive Dremel 3d40.......it’s a lot of fun but the printing process takes so long and we ruined the first platform pad using the wrong tools to get the stuff we had printed off.
So far we’ve printed a chess set and some dice and other small stuff.

lmao one day i got spun as fuck in the library and fucked with solidworks for hours, shit was dank. that's actually how i learned to use that program. i've read that meth improves memory formation or some shit which is party why it's so addictive. it kind of makes sense because there were times i was super fucked up on meth but NEEDED to finish this assignment and pulled it through. for example, all of linear algebra was like that. but then later i come across a linear algebra problem and i still know how to do it. it's weird.

When the Chinese stole Cisco software, models and prints way back when related to mobile systems modifying them and building better units US securities were alerted doing nothing. Now companies like Huawei are world known and their phones are a security threat. Like the incidents in Pakistan and India in the way government agencies were breached and spied on. Even parts sent to the US are questionable and used in our defense computers which really wasn't a wise move just to save money. With new 3D technology they also improved their military a great deal and yet their mineral resources and processing is still inferior. Why they're expanding into Africa for precious metals and trying to dominate the Asian triangle. Meanwhile teams of hackers have not stopped seeking anything they can steal from us which will be useful and we focus on building new washrooms for transgenders. Throw in Russians who are even more skilled and you have a situation that is critical if any war breaks out.

lol, I was thinking about this a lot as I was working on it. Not only the air intake on the front but two turbines. I was just working off pictures though, and it looks cool so good enough for me. Maybe excusable because they're supposed to be designed for flight in atmosphere and that happens a few times over the course of the show.

What? No, BSG is a famous TV series, I'm modeled it off of the designs they used there.
