Thanks, soy. I go by how ppl post as well (for the most part). You can get a feel how ppl are in general by their posting style. Minus the smartassness and busting balls with certain ppl who want to stick with a certain persona online.

I think it was a warez thing; in order to be able to download from their archives you first had to contribute to them. pretty sure the reason for it was because bandwidth was far more limited than today so they didn't want to allow people to download without giving something in return
