my dad had this saying when i was a kid, 'you either laugh or you cry'. of course he never actually applied it to rape but if you can bring yourself to laugh it off, it is really the best way to deal with it. just make it into a joke, make the rapist a fucking clown who couldn't fucking bother you. of course it does take a fairly strong mind to do it tho. a weak mind will just find it too easy to play the victim and flake out about it.

that's where i struggle to understand this issue, i had sex first when i was 11 with a 12 year old girl. it didn't damage me and as far as i know it didn't damage her either.
