2018-05-28 at 2:59 PM UTCAny recomendations on how to find homes to stay in? I have managed to open windows of for sale homes before but would like to know how guarded these are. Do they put alarms on for sale or forclosed homes? What are the best ways to break in to a house, preferrably without setting off an alarm?

2018-05-28 at 3:32 PM UTCDude there are some many variables. I guess if you've already opened a window you can toss something heavy enough to set off any alarms to set. Make sure you have water and food prepped. You don't want to be going in and out a lot. Not sure what you're going to do if you have piss and shit

You can usually spot them by looking closer at the windows though. Otherwise, throw a rock. If an alarm goes off bail and find another house. -

Sounds like a good idea, if only there was a way to know if they are active. To get furniture should i just look up free shit on craigslist? -

To give the impression the stingers are wealthy and to decrease chances of getting caught. Must be timed perfectly and with no flaws. Usually the mark is greedy and will surrender to a beautiful woman setting up the con. No rentals or bought items leading to the ones involved. Bank robberies are so old school...lol.

2018-05-28 at 6:16 PM UTCIf the breaker box is outside and you can get into it, try switching it off, it should disable any alarms as well. Wait an hour or so and see if anyone comes to see what happened

Any modern alarm system is set to trigger loss of power to a monitoring agency. If power is lost to the property and is not restored within a few minutes, they will call the owner on file and ask if they are aware. If they aren't, then police are usually sent out to investigate. So I wouldn't advise switching off the breaker. -

that, with the caveat being battery-backup still allows cctv and 'distress' comms functionality
same applies to communications hard-wires (cable/telephone) -

yeah, I'm not aware how common battery backups are on an alarm system but cutting the mains should still send an alert for someone to investigate. I do know that a lot of them have a builtin GSM card so they can use the mobile network to call out if the phone lines or internet connection are cut -

i have a pic somewhere of an independent comms-capable system...i just cant find it. the part i find odd is that the section of the panel holding the communications gear is divided and separated from the rest of the panel with its own PC-sized fan and gigantic heat-sinks. apparently it creates a buttfuck-ton of heat -
