   I was going to use 3D software and have a nuke go off
   
   yeah.. I can rerender in a video software and use anti-shake and make nuke bomb go boom. then save it for a documentary piece

    doesnt even need to be that elaborate. simply bracing the camera against a solid object and not being twitchy will do the job

    I agree.. without a jib, tripod or pressing it against my chest (as taught) I am Mr Shaky Hands. also.. I'm 52 fucking years old. I get shakey holding a fucking garden hose more than a minute. muscles break down and I have bone problems. I'v had this disease most of my life. now it's radical muscle loss.

    What did you take the video on? It's possible there's already some image stabilisation going on on whatever it was. Hopefully built in stabilisation will get a lot better.
    
    Also isn't it incredible that people can make video like OPs at all.

    it wasn't my canon it was just a LG phone. the stabilizer on it isn't that great. it's best to do it in post editing.

    Also there is a neat trick if you guys dont know it.
    
    If you do use a tripod.. tie a rubber band and lose the choke on the horizontal panning. it moves smoother with almost 0 jerk motion.
