Is this some kind of propaganda scare tatic , who are they WARNING, the hard working ,tax paying ,non homeless, that are renters ,and not a home owner, Is this someones great idea,on how to get everyone to stop demanding to do something about the homeless in their neighborhoods, so if we rent we will also become homeless ,and if your a property owner then they can continue to rent their home out by converting into a Airbnb hotel, evicting all of their tenits,and turning apartments , condos, and houses that are long term rentals ,into Airbnb hotels , (back into short term rentals ) with what ? a garenteed that the homeless will be put in Houseing, and won't be liveing on streets ,is that when they will build Houseing for the homeless ,,when they turn everything into hotels ,and the city will be getting hotel taxes on every thing,on top of property taxes, the city puts everyone that was a renter , now homeless in some crappy. cheepley made apartment ,along with the existing homeless ,that are owned by the city ,the only option if you were a renter, is this when they will finally build the low cost rentals they have been talking about .is the hotel tax money going to foot that bill ,? the now hotels that use to be what we use to call our homes.I wouldn't call the phone number or email, David Alverez it could be a way of signing a electronic petition agreeing with it. I don't understand if it is DAVID ALVAREZ THAT wants to legalize it, then why would we call him or email him, how would that protect us, it makes no sense, ,David plans to legalize it , but we are to protect ourselves and call him before its to late , as he is also saying short term is not good for the community. it's contradictive

2018-05-16 at 1:08 AM UTCdidn't they just pass a law ,that you can't rent your house out short term anymore ,it can't be for just a weekend , that most people have off work and can go somewhere for weekend, most people have one to two weeks vacation time .and the limit on renting your home out for any thing less than ( 28 ) days ? would be considered short term , but legalizeing converting your home in to a Airbnb hotel , isn't Airbnb the same as short term, as in all hotels ,so it's all about the city getting hotel tax With it being AIrbnb hotel, instead of you just renting your home out short term and not paying hotel taxes to the city ,who is going to rent your home for more than the average vacation time of one or two weeks .or a two or three day weekend off,just like a hotel no one stays at a hotel for more than a weekend , or a one to two week vacation.
20th & k witch house might that be , I am sure its with several units , witch one ,& I will tell you how many units and how much each rent for ,that will tell you just how much money means to him ,their prob a dump
I just figured it out ,this little plan is going to be a domino effect, favoring the the city ,having these homes converted into Airbnb hotels , WILL take care of the problem that the city has mentioned quiet often ,the lack of hotel rooms to accomadate the growing numbers of tourists,they have exceeded their building space for hotels in the immediate downtown area ,so they get the home owners to take care of it for them,witch costs the city nothing ,they will not only get property taxes but more because it will be a bussiness , witch taxes are a higher % (I beleive) pluses will be taxed bigger % for hotel tax, anyone that has been renting their home short term, probabley have been doing this to be able to pay their mortgage , this is probable the plan to increase the sales of homes ,not only will they be able to make their mortgage payment ,but also will be able to buy a second home .not to mention anyone that couldn't afford to buy a home because they couldnt afford a monthly mortgage payment , well now they can, -

As I sat in my car in front of my residence getting ready to leave, this man pulls out his private and starts urinating in front of me. Even after honking my horn several times, he didn't even flinch and continued. So I took a picture of him and let him know I did.
I understand there is a need for the homeless to go to the restroom, but I'm getting at my wits end on the constant disrespectfulness a lot display. I'm especially upset because I've volunteered for local homeless outreach and grown sympathetic to a majority (not all) of those who are in need, but I've witnessed H.O.T. approach them offering assistance, yet they decline. I have never complained or called about them sleeping on the sidewalk in front of our home (they too need a place to sleep), but the trash, screaming during the day and during the night, accumulation of carts, tents, feces, etc, is getting bad. As soon as Safe & Clean leave after cleaning our street, it goes back to the same way again.
Does anyone know of the next community meeting to address these issues? Is this issue even solvable? -
