   You can disable images from loading in user settings if you are ultra paranoid it will stop anyone from being able to backtrace you but then you can't view pics which sucks.

   You can't get someone's IP or GPS coordinates from a profile pic unless they took the pic themselves and their device inputs it into the graphic file's exif data, and/or the graphic file is served from their own device, which it's not. Suffice it to say, no one can locate you through your profile pic. The only one who could get you located is Lanny, because he has all our IP addresses.

   How Burnish CAN get you, though, is by posting a hotlink in a post which leads to to an image file being served on his own server. Then he will get your IP as soon as you click on the hotlink, because it will show up in his logs, but he won't know exactly what username is the one who clicked it.

    Well, if he has an internal connection on the ISP that IP is associated with, he could theoretically link the IP to a billing account, which would have the home address, name and phone number associated to the IP which was used.

    If you look up the person's IP, you would only get info on the registrant, which would be the ISP the person gets their IP from.
