    I'm the only one that I know of. I believe it's far more rational than the common beliefs shared about eating meat. We had a super long thread about it not long ago, despite trolling attempts.

    I realize this, but the notion that the most capable predator has to eat individuals lower on the food chain is exactly the assumption I mean to challenge. You are at the top, but you're also armed with an intellect that allows you to reason about the ethics of the matter.

    I don't believe in a hierarchy of being as you describe it, but even if I did I would argue that it is incumbent upon those at the top to establish a more just world for those below. We don't require their meat.
    
    Would you say it's preserving the natural order of things that motivate us to genetically engineer new species who suffer their entire lives in a crate before the slaughter? Is that how nature intended for life to occur?
