2018-04-19 at 8:28 PM UTCThe user above me is very dependent on others; he or she will not make a decision before asking his friends, family or acquintances in general before making a decision in life. Whatever decision he or she makes, he hopes it will benefit him or her a lot, and if it benefits the other person too, then they will appreciate that a lot as well.

You're actually very close. My parents aren't proud of me, I have been dropping out of college 4 times so far. That is why I don't have their approval but I do enjoy a comfy life at home despite that. -

Thank you for the kind words: I am, I think that I have, and I really don't. Some of my closest friends and colleagues have been Arabic. You're actually very close. Have you considered that perhaps you've dropped out of college so often because your parents never gave their approval, and not the other way around? -

You are welcome, man, and that's funny.. I actually don't have any Arabic friends. Brown people, yes, but not Arabic per se. As for my dropping out, it has got nothing to do with the external. I just am not sure what I want to do with the rest of my life. That's all. What line of work are you in? -

I haven't settled on a career, yet. I'm finishing my degree and in the meantime, I operate a small business selling coffee that hasn't really taken off. Originally I wanted to be a pharmacist and I worked in a few retail pharmacies, which is how I have so many brown friends. While I've come to respect their culture, I have a jaded view of the profession and really can't justify going into a graduate program for more of that bullshit.
You mentioned living at home: is there a family business you can fall back on or are you going to have to decide on a path sooner or later? -

Good luck with your degree! It's a bummer you don't live near me, because otherwise I'd love to buy a cup of coffee from your place. Are you studying something healthcare-related, or is it something completely new? My friend who is brown, but not Arab, actually more of an Indian, is nearly done with college and he will be working as a pharmacist assistant. I have another friend, also brown, also South Asian, who is currently studying to become a pharmacist. He is in his fourth year now. As for any family businesses, sadly, there is none. I don't have many relatives here, either. Just my aunt and uncle, their kids, and their kids' kids. But I am not close to my family here at all. I really don't like them due to a number of reasons. -

I'm majoring in something else, but depending on how my odds look I may one day apply to medical school. Are you in the US? -
