   Starbucks charge their premium for fatty or carb laden drinks, not exceptional coffee flavor (which is much harder to achieve).

   I’ve never understood this either. An americano or drip coffee is not exactly good, so why do we all drink it? I try to keep it local or brew at home, but honestly I drink more green tea than coffee these days. I use to be a huge coffee lover though.

   I don't, I just want iced coffee. They have a monopoly because small places don't want to serve iced drinks in April, I don't want to buy from Starbucks but there is no alternative except making my own iced coffee.
