I think it was a weird sexual thing. That's crazy. I think it's 50/50 with people like that. Half the time they went through some really traumatic shit that made them mix up pleasure and pain. And the other half of the time I think people just had a partner who was into it and they were open to trying it and realized it was kinda nice.
I don't get the punching thing, but I have a friend that use to like to be punched and I just tried not to judge her. But I do also know she went through some shit. -

that one in particular was significantly damaged though, I remember having an argument with her on IRC because she was shooting meth and snapped the needle off in her arm, and didn't want to go to hospital because it'd 'waste the shot' -
