On the other hand, I've never seen Speccy attempt something creative before, and this certainly seems to be such an attempt. That, coupled with the fact that Speccy isn't currently banned, is why I just don't see a reason to think it's him and not Jill.
It's 100% spectral you idiot. Stop being so liberal. -

That absolutely tips the scale. Why would anybody with a reason to live bother rehashing something so lame for the better part of a decade on multiple websites?

What do you think "liberal" means? -

It kind of reminds me of my dad tbh. One time when we were living out in Vegas it actually snowed, which hadn’t happened in like 90 years or something and he just goes “Global warming, my ass! It’s fuckin snowing in the desert!”
So I started to explain like “actually, it’s better known as climate change nowadays because while the average temperature of the earth IS going up each year, this doesn’t necessarily mean that every place is individually always gonna get hotter and hotter. The increasing average temperature is just a catalyst that will spawn unpredictable weather patterns that..” and he just cut me off saying “Ok, Al Gore.”
Lol typical republican amirite?? -
2018-03-31 at 5:22 AM UTCI remember back in 2010 when I didn't even know the difference between a republican or a liberal, one of my internet friends told me if I was American I'd be a republican. I remember asking, "is that the cool one?" and he said "I guess you'd consider it to be."
I just don't understand how intelligent people can't be republican. -

I don't mean that contemporary politics are anti-liberal. I mean they might be but my gut feeling, at least in the US, is that our social norms are still quite liberal and even if people don't necessarily have a lot of faith in those norms they still govern how we act in public settings.
More I mean that post embodies the contemporary attitude that politics is a lost cause not worth engaging in seriously, but still worth participating in for, uhhh, entertainment value I guess. Instead of trying to attack the liberal position Enter chose to make a joke. He understood no one would be convinced of anything by it, but it's kind of a funny response, and I believe he genuinely dislikes liberals and holds anit-liberal views. Political views are seen as immutable, immune to argument, but somehow still meaningful. It's a fundamentally tibalistic mindset. -

Ok good, I thought you meant the first thing but it’s more like the second thing -
2018-03-31 at 8:54 AM UTCCan we have an "official fuck the mods thread" for all complaints, and any post bitching about moderation in an unrelated thread/flooding the forum with threads bitching about moderation gets a ban?

2018-03-31 at 8:57 AM UTCAlso, I could be wrong about this as I'm github illiterate, but can't anyone who wants to use the same exact code for this website and start their own forum? Why don't you people do that instead of bitching here?

Yeah, anyone can. I would be happy to help someone setup an instance since I'm sure there's some NiS-specific stuff that needs to be shaken out of the codebase and that would be the best way to dig it up, plus I'd finally have a real excuse to putting more effort into the admin tools instead of just using the db shell for everything.
That said -SpectraL has been ducking and diving trying to avoid the question of why he doesn't open his own forum, despite bitching incessantly about every forum he's ever posted on, for over a decade now. He won't answer because the reality is that he gets off on complaining, admitting that he couldn't run his own place better would just be too much for him. -
2018-03-31 at 12:58 PM UTCThe question was never answered because that's never been the point. You guys want to talk apples, when we're talking oranges. That's called evasion. You can't answer the question, so you ask your own question instead. That's called deflection. You know what's being said is 100% correct, so you want to talk about something else and point a finger. That's called hypocrisy. Evasion. Deflection. Hypocrisy. That's you.

I was like 15 when I first started computer science class 1.01 (which si about as far as I got.. sadly. BASIC and some other language)
But of course, 1337 existed back then as well.
what is this thing in c language that you have to program number in reverse for it to go forward? someone was talking about it or I saw it somewhere from a link or I dreamed it.. it was weird. because I did dream last night that coding (in some language) was telling me to code in reverse. something about the integer scale and some teacher yelling at me but like a record talking backward. -
