I wonder if there's a practical way to profit from it and do it realistically with a low level of risk.
I'm talking like, just going out at night I guess with a pick-up or whatever, and literally taking people's nice ass grilla from the backyard decks and patios. Grills are generally sort of expensive and generally left outside, unlocked.
I have also considered this with nice bikes that people keep on their 2nd floor apartment balconies. Not too difficult to hop up there and snag 'em.
I like the grill one better though in terms of how many people have them and their value. It seems too easy. What would be the main issue do you think? Selling the grills undetected I guess. I don't know how I'd go about that. eBay I guess?

When I worked in retail, people use to buy grills and pass the receipt off to someone else who would go grab another and then walk out with it. Later they would return one. ACs as well.

What's the second hand market for grills like in your area? You might find stuff can be easy to steal but hard to sell.

I think it's a nice supplementary income. Take 3-4 road trips out of town per year. On each getaway, steal a very nice grill. Sell grill in your own area to help pay for the next one.
