What is one talent that you have?

2018-03-16 at 3:09 PM UTCI can sing and play the piano at the same time. I can't do either very well, but it was hard to learn and I'd like to improve one day when I have the time. I've played open mics myself before, but I've never sought a paid gig.

2018-03-16 at 3:11 PM UTCI'm a decent instigator.

2018-03-16 at 7:38 PM UTCI'm a very skilled front end loader operator, which should land me a job loading the bodies of jedis into ovens during the next holocaust.

2018-03-16 at 7:54 PM UTCI think I'm a pretty good writer. I make a few hundred a month doing it, and I only published my first (real) book about a year ago.
Tried to find my story on Bill Krozby I wrote here but I can't. -

That's really great, I've always been told I'm a good writer, too. Are you self-publishing? Do you mind sharing about how much work you put in? -

Do you really want to take tips from a guy whose only published work other than shit posting on NIS is a cringey as fuck autobiography called “Hitchhiking to Conception” based on him mistakenly believing he was a father -

Generally I write every day. Even if it's just for 5 minutes. Whenever I'm at my computer, I have Word or Scrivener open. Scrivener is very good for outlines/planning if you know how to use it. Wouldn't write in it. I don't use it very often any more though, only when I get sick of using paper.
I am self-published. Some people look down on self-published authors, but if it works for you and you can make money, that's all that matters. There's a lot more work that goes into it though. Especially regarding formatting and covers. I do all my own formatting, but I only made one cover before I got sick of it. Image editing is not my thing. -

That is not my only published work. I wrote that 4 years ago. In 3 weeks. And nobody here ever even read it. It isn't even published anymore.
I'm a good writer and I put a lot of work into earning the sales I've got now. Fuck off. -

Oh, is that why you complimented me when I posted that thread?

It was a compliment in the same way that a mother expressing enthusiastic approval of the macaroni necklace her child made in preschool art class is a compliment. -

I've been strongly considering this avenue, myself. The stuff I write would be morally unacceptable to a normal publisher. I have the first half of a novella or so, hoping to finish it over the next few weeks. I'll download Scrivener and see if it helps. -
2018-03-16 at 8:39 PM UTCI’m just fucking with you §m£ÂgØL I know it’s hard to succeed as a writer financially, doesn’t mean you’re a bad writer. I used to do the writing grind years ago too, it’s tough.

2018-03-16 at 8:52 PM UTCOne of my books is a historical thing and it's no joke the first result when you search for the historical thing on Amazon. I'm pretty proud of that.
