Lots of people form an identity out of support of obscure political ideals or lifestyles, the more obscure the more unique and validated you can feel by holding them. If you're unattractive you have one less alternative to base your identity on (personal vanity) so this mode becomes more attractive. Why do they tend to be leftist in the case of women? Because many (most?) obscure rightwing ideologies (attracting a disproportionate quantity of sexually unsuccessful men) are actively hostile to women.

There's actually a significant correlation between what most would consider a loser and leftist ideology. The site neuropolitics had a lot of studies related to this. There's even a correlation between physical attractiveness and conservative ideology, which is unsurprising, as the move that would be predicted by optimal gene spreading dynamics would be to attempt to conserve your superior status of reproductive fitness in society. -

Lol, yeah, I know what exchange you're talking about. Your claim was that "the vast majority of women are attracted to dominant men" or something along these lines. I never said it wasn't the case, I said it was a proposition that's indefensible because 1. "vast majority" means "somewhere between 50 and 100%" which is a population in the billions which you're never going to survey representatively and 2. despite this your best effort at gathering "evidence" was literally your personal impression of how the romance genre operates. -
