    Coincidences exist. In the sense that things coincide. Frequently. But I mean... "letting go of an apple" and "the apple falling towards the ground" are things that coincide. There's a coincidence there. But you wouldn't say it's "just a coincidence". There's no such thing as "just a coincidence", just things that coincide which you may not understand.

    At the same time, luck might exist. It's really just the measure of how often you get a "favorable" result from a random number generation. As someone who plays MMOs, surely you've prayed more than once to RNGesus?

    Since free will is a real, working function at play at all times, random variables are automatically in effect. So, yes, luck is real. Even on the grand scale of things, there are unknown elements, although there are certain outcomes which are invariably eventual and which cannot be changed by anyone, due to the very nature of their own properties.

    You're essentially saying "free will is real because free will is real".

    Look at it slightly objectively: everything is causal. Everything you think, everything you do, is a reaction to stimuli you had no control over. And those stimuli were shaped and created by earlier stimuli. This entire reality is arguably the only possible outcome of the "original event" of our reality. Everything is an end result in that chain of reactions. If anything, observation proves that reality is deterministic: every cause has a deterministic effect (ie every effect has an event that determines that event's outcome).

    You say you have "free will", but your choices are all shaped by a life you had no control over. The universe decided who you'd be, not you. Free will is merely the illusion of "understanding" chaos. It's a byproduct of existing in a world predicated on events outside our control. The ego is merely an evolutionary mechanism for survival, same as "love" or "fear".
