So SWIM was at a certain store that does price matching. I showed the clerk the item I was buying an item with a $40 sticker price, $27 on Amazon. He glanced at the page on my phone and went ahead and adjusted the register with NO VERIFICATION. This made me think...Use a browser with a developer mode feature..Alter the price of the item to a believable but reduced number..and...discount!
Alternate outcome, you could profitize it by paying cash for the item then returning it sans receipt to a different clerk/location.

i do that all the time with online shopping but 100% of the time the sales person asks for the link and they check it themselves from their own PC.

it all depends on how much the employee gives a shit. If they care about there job they will want to verify it. If they do not care they are just there for a pay check anyways so they will just do it so you dont yell at them. same idea with barcoding and other retail schemes. Just depends on the employee.
