2018-01-18 at 3:06 AM UTCSo goys and girls, I'll be playing a hacked version of Pokemon Emerald for Gameboy Advance. It has all 386 pokemon of Generation 3, and I'll be posting screen shots along da wey. I've played Emerald before but I don't really remember much and I'm not sure of the changes or difficulty of this hack so it's a semi-blind run.
It will be played with nuzlocke rules, which mean the following:
-Catch 1st pokemon in every new area (routes, dungeons, cities, etc)
-If a pokemon faints, it's considered dead so it can no longer be used or revived
-Name all pokemon
-Shinies can be caught regardless but the death rule still applies
So buckle up, niggeroos.

2018-01-18 at 4:34 AM UTCNice, Treeko is actually pretty good, and one of the starters for this game, yet it appears in this forest I'm in as a wild pokemon. Hope it doesn't die. Apparently I got lucky this was the first encounter since most of the other ones are your typical shitty worm pokemon.

Walking through the woods I encounter these two assholes. So apparently our villains this time are commies.
We reached our new big city with the first gym, and exploring the surrounding area we found this atrocious beast
Gotta do some grinding to level up and take on this gym. I've got 2 grass types so this should be easy Vizy.

Doing it this way makes the game more difficult. You have to play with what you get and adds a random nature to the game as well. For example, I've seen Abras, Scythers and Pidgeys, all strong pokemon that would make the game really easy, but I can't catch them per the rules. Right now, the last pokemon I caught was a Skitty, which is one of the worst pokemon in the game and even makes you waste a Moon Stone to evolve it. However this hack seems to balance out some weaker pokemon so we'll see how it goes, but I'll have to make due with what I get. Having a limited amount of random pokemon also factors into the difficulty. It's also kind of cool to use shitmons you usually never see when playing the game normally. I didn't read the bunch of changes this hack made so I'm pretty much winging it.
I haven't had a chance to play for more time though so hopefully I can pick up the pace this weekend. Nobody probably cares but my autism does, since I can't begin a game like this without finishing it, and hopefully posting screenshots here as a sort of personal blog will make it more entertaining. -
