2018-01-11 at 5:04 AM UTCI've thought on it and i think I'm gonna do as you said falco. Buy an ok laptop (maybe even a chromebook) and build a gaming rig. My laptop was actually fairly decent for gaming given its age, but nothing beats building your own.

2018-01-11 at 5:08 AM UTCWhy not buy a Playstation or Xbox. I know I far prefer gaming on a console compared to gaming on a computer.
The PC master race spend their whole lives messing around with drivers and software. -

I have an xbox one, but I like modding, fiddling, not paying to play online, VR, mouse and keyboard for certain games, cheap steam deals, being able to pirate a game to try it out, convenience of a multi-purpose machine, etc. Really wanting to work my way up to building a VR ready computer. -

The battery doesn't bother me too much. Screen is what I currently have, would be nice to upgrade but eh. -

I mean i need an upgrade anyway, but yeah. I have a VAIO and apparently they're super easy to fix and clean. Never done this kinda thing so I'm gonna get a tool kit and some thermal paste and give it a good cleaning because the fan is insane.
And an external hard drive too in case i fuxk it up. -
2018-01-11 at 6:42 PM UTCYeah if all you want to do is browsing and shit, fixing it is the way to go.

Interesting. A lot of people who get money, like lotto winners, go broke in the long term.

Get a can of compressed air and spray it into the vents. Laptops can fill up with dust, especially if you use it it bed or you smoke or whatever. You shouldn't try to use vacuum around computers, apparently it can cause static electricity, though I've never had any problem hoovering dust from inside mine.
Also are you sure the keyboard can't be removed and cleaned? You might just have the membrane not making good contact or something, it might not actually need to be replaced.
