2018-01-01 at 4:18 PM UTCThe trip might only last ten minutes, but what really is time? Or more accurately, what is space time and how is it affected by gravity. Been looking into this a little bit. Apparently space time is just geometry and gravity doesn't really affect time but rather affected time is what we refer to as "gravity"...
But what does that mean??? -

Originally posted by greenplastic you dig a hole and then cover it with branches and then put a wooly mammoth treat on top of the branches. the mammoth falls into the hole and is unlikely to be able to get out, and probably injures itself in the process. then you can just throw rocks at it's head or stab it with a sharpened stick until it dies. then you have meat for the whole winter.
in the stone age they would kill mammoths by getting them to fall over cliffs.

They are pack animals remember, so it might take 50-100 Pomeranians to bring down an Elk or a bear, however small dogs are extremely efficient pack predators.
Just gonna say, dogs don't travel in packs of 50-100. They barely travel in groups of 10. Plus dogs have been bred out of having great spatial awareness. They aren't like wolves who can form mental maps of miles in any given direction, it would be hard for them to live in the wild for this reason.
The stray dogs of Moscow are interesting as fuck for this reason. They use the subway system to travel. -

That's crazy, I didn't know wolves could do that, but then again I guess I've never thought much about it and it makes sense. -

It's actually really cool. They'll track herds for long treks and take wide bows in their journey just to get the element of surprise. They'll go downwind too. You should look up some of the studies they've done in Yellowstone on wolf hunting tactics because that shit is fascinating, especially if you can find a documentary that lays it out visually. Wish I remembered the one I'm thinking of.
By comparison, lions are lame as fuck. Big roaring bullies is all they are. -
