ok, lets say i had a time portal in my shed, that i could enter the 18th century and then come back to our current time.
what would happen if i drove a car or dirtbike through there and then give it to a random person in the 18th century then come back.. what could happen?

The metals used today wouldn't exist even in the early-mid 20th century. But, you know they had a motorcycle or motorbike and a car in the 19th century. as early as 1885 or something like that (without looking up the exact date)
so why not go back to the 19th century and bring it back to the 18th century. I dont think people in the 1700s would freak out and burn you for witchcraft unless you were in western africa and showed up at a dwarfism colony of cannibals.

Scientists of the time would understand most of the basic operating principles, they'd just never have seen the concepts implemented in that way. You'd either speed up technological progress by hundreds of years or you'd confuse the ever living fuck out of humanity and we'd all be worshiping you in the current year.
