You mean like the movie? like crackers or the real soy product. just grow your own under hydroponic systems and press the cake matter yourself and then learn to properly bake it so it taste lots like chicken meat. -
2017-10-27 at 1:56 AM UTCI mean the 'meal replacement' shakes that have gotten somewhat popular over the last few years:

you can get powders, premixed bottles or bars of the stuff; it's similar to protein or weight-loss shakes but it contains everything the body needs so can be used indefinitely. bars would be ideal in the case of a major collapse because premixed bottles would need refrigeration (even though they advertise a long shelf-life) and powders would require water and a way to effectively clean your mixing instruments, otherwise you'd be inviting bacteria and infection -

That's where the name comes from. -

there is a nasty stream down the street. but you could make basic sand/charcoal enhancements and then once it's clean, boil the water for 15 minutes and then pour it through a basic home britta pitcher. or enhancement a second time and reboil.
also, if you place sea or ocean water in a tub (a bunch of them) and a large cup in the middle, saranwrap over it and a rock on top of the middle of the wrap, as to pull it down towards the cup, place in sun. you can get about a cup of water in a few hours. then again, enhancement through britta.
you would need like 20-30 of these to do but it would bring in about half a gallon a day of pure water. -

if you've got access to saltwater it'd be pretty straightforward to build an evaporator, even though you might need to find some parts - would be a whole lot more efficient (and durable) than clingwrap over a bathtub
^^lolwhat how did he beat me by 3 minutes, that was a ~20 second post -
