    Older candy/bubblegum machines. Still tons of them out there. If the turn-handle is the least bit loose, you can use a nickel in it instead of a quarter by putting the nickel in, pulling out slightly on the turn-handle's plate while turning, and out comes the goods at one 5th of the price.

    Anyone know if there are any good sights to see in israel? Airfare is a nigger but it seems like a pretty unusual place to visit. My grandmother is a devout christian and visited jerusalem like, uhh, maybe 10 years ago now. It was a pilgrimage type scenario. I'm definitely down for some interesting religious landmarks but on its own I'm not sure the holy land is all that appealing. Is there much of interest in Israel besides religious sites?

    I think I'd rather visit Istanbul on the whole. I mean again there's a large amount of religious association with that city but I think more than Jerusalem it's interesting on merit of its architecture and history. Maybe like a week in istanbul, then down the coast to Acre for a few days and then down to Jerusalem for another couple day or two. I wonder if I'd have any trouble crossing that border, but a trip that roughly follows the first crusade seems kinda badass in its own right.

    Anyway, OP, are you talking about canadian currency or american? I know the sizes of coins are similar but for this kind of thing the difference seems like it could be significant.

    P.S. Iron John, after doing a reverse image search I realize that image is from new york lol, I say the hebrew and thought israel immediately.

    That pic was taken by amateur American photographer Charles Weever Cushman in 1942.

    His kodachrome snapshots are a chronograph of America (and other parts of the world) from the 1940s through the 1960s.

    I just stumbled upon this but gumball and candy machines that go by the name of "beaver" are pretty easy for getting free product, you just have to smash it with your hand in a fitting machine on the bit that cranks the coin.

    Fuck knows why I bumped this

    What I was trying to say was their is a brand of the coin-op gumball/candy/m and ms all over the world called "beaver" and it even has pic of a beaver that you used to be able to give it a tap and it would just empty all its bounty.
