I help make a music video (just the backdrop) in San Francisco when I was 14 with my brothers ex girlfriend which ended up on Pee Wee's Big House which parts of it were shown around 1982 on NightFlight USA network.

    Absolutly.

Originally For a collaboration for KFOG, TV 20 and PBS 9, which did some kind of project for the future of Music Videos which used to be called Music Promos. this was in 1979-1980.

KFOG and PBS also experimented with Stereo Sync TV/Radio before stereo tvs became affordable. I think it was called Simalcast or something like that.

We worked out of the Studio Room of the Chronicle building on Mission and over off of Battery and Broadway

Oh.. during the filming of the video, we (The TV station and Radio Station) rented an older SFPD car, I was asked to move it. i turned on the wigwaggy things and siren

cop pulled me over. I got into trouble. they let me go after that. I wasn't even paid and they terminated my volunteer work.

In 1972, the Secret Service (SS) knocked on my door to have a nice chat with me about my plans to annex Guatemala. They said it wouldn't fit inside my basement, and then they flashbanged me.

The SS came to my house to pick up a CD i made of umm desktop video capture of some guy named general bobblehead or something. I forgot the reason other than threats to the president of the USA (bush) at the time.

He game me his card and I called him about a year later about something else and he hung up on me. I thought the cell phone was having a bad connection and called him on the house phone.. twice he hung up on me,

    .

The Residents . All we did was paint the backdrop. they did their own video work on this one. But you have to realize no one got to see the band because they never revealed who they were until recent years. we shot video of a police car.. I think we moved over to Harrison for that 1 shot. I was 14 at the time.. probably early 1980.

that was the exciting thing.. most videos I painted backdrops for was for bands locally who may or may not of made it over the years or went onto other bands. but this last video, we got to paint a backdrop for The Residents.

If you know an SFPD officer who can look up an old incident report.. I didn't get a ticket but a warning for moving the car. the director stated he thought I had a license.

It may or may not of been this one. But I remember Hello Skinny for some reason. if not.. look for one with an SFPD in the shot. It's kind of blue tinted like sepia tone. Again we just painted a backdrop and shot video of the police car parked in the middle of the street.

they were from Nebraska or some place like that and their van broke down in San Francisco and they stayed for years and then I guess moved up into Oregon? I don't know much about the band.

The lady I was with who was an ex girlfriend of my brother was really into weird art and advant garde. we explored the older SoMa district when people still lived in old garage shops converted into lofts. pretty much all torn down and the new Downtown is moving that direction.
