I don't remember doing the pledge of allegiance in high school, only like elementary when you're too young to know what you're saying

We said it through 7th grade I think. I sheepishly just said it. I was 11. I didn't really give a shit.

You shouldn't be forced to, but unless you live somewhere like communist China or shit-filled India there's no good reason for you not to.

Yeah, but it's like a probable future formulation technique.

It would have been more effective if the moment you refused to say the Pledge you were taped up in a box and sent to Zimbabwe.

Brainwashing has to have a perpetrator. Life experiences are like brain washing as in it can change how you think but if there
s not a conspiracy to make you compliant then its not really brainwashing. How do you even live with the cognitive dissonance of having a country founded on freedom of religion and then make everyone pledge to specifically the christian god?

I can think of much worse places to be than Zimbabwe.

I pledge allegiance to the truth and my own convictions, never arbitrary borders and a two party system filled with empty platitudes, where each party takes steps towards more authoritarianism.

We have the technology for direct democracy and the republic is now redundant, our countries politics will never be effective enough to stop the consolidation of power.

America is dead. The American dream is dead. I hope some day that Americans wake up with the realization that the Nazis won. The communists won. The terrorists won. We won the wars but lost the game. The blood of our fathers was spilt for the freedom to hand our enemies the sword and bend the knee.

I often try to wash the brainwashing out of my brain but I don't know if it's necessarily any better to have a brain washed by myself or by professional brainwashers because regardless, my brain is squeaky clean and smells of lemons
