I remember a post of spectrial's a while back on fern I think where he was like, I can let bygones be bygones, or some shit. He acknowledged how you acknowledged you made some mistakes as a mod and blah blah blah and he said something about just moving on. I was a bit surprised, needless to say, that he somehow was all of the sudden just ready to let it drop and carry on, but then a few days later I think he was back to normal and picking at his gripes with you. I don't know why he's so personally agitated by you, but I have to conclude it's some deep-seeded shit that he may or may not need counseling for. I mean, I came to zoklet late, and I'm not a longstanding member with plenty of knowledge about all of the history of totse/zoklet, so I can't chime in too much on any of it, but just the same I am upset myself out how zoklet dissipated. I don't understand why he singlehandedly blames you, but that's sure as hell giving you a lot of credit. Zoklet actually seemed fine to me and the closure was unexpected just the same as the fern's was. In either case it didn't seem to be a bad mod thing, it seemed to be a fucking PI thing. Maybe we should've looked at the source of the problem being a one or two angry users who tried to fuck over the admins, and/or the admins who decided to shut the shit down over those particular user's immature way of dealing with their butthurt.
Or something. The spectral v psycho thing is cute but little of it has anything to do with the demise of the sites. At any rate, it's all old shit now so I guess there's really no good reason to keep continuing the drama other than the enjoyment of said continued drama. I was fucking irate as hell at idio's knee-jerk reaction and fang's childish banning of everyone at the end, and I moved on relatively quickly as far as I'm concerned. I wish zoklet was back, but it isn't, and I guess this is where we are. It's weird being angry about a broken machine that's laying in a landfill somewhere never to be found or potentially fixed. Nah, this situation is really none of my business, but I saw a way to make fun of someone, so I couldn't resist taking a potshot.
As far as PI goes, I am neutral on the subject. Just like any other prohibited act, cracking down on it usually only makes it worse, But then again, innocents can be caught up in these internet 'games', like people getting ahold of someone's mom's phone number and calling her and threatening her or something, just to be a troll. I am not sure that there is any easy solution to the problem of people's PI being exposed..
-edit- I want to clarify the last sentence: I am not sure that there is any easy solution to the problem of people's PI at sites such as this where some modicum of 'free speech' exists.
