What the shit does this even mean. Steam has a bigger community than any console service, and there are others. The "PC community" is basically everyone who lives in the civilized world.

There are PC gaming conferences, and basically every AAA game at any third party dev's conference comes to PC too, you can enjoy E3 while being a PC gamer.

It is literally a box that sits in your TV cabinet. You can make a PC look like whatever the fuck you want.
PC is just totally different I don't see how you can even compare the two.
It's only different in that PCs are categorically better, and can be whatever you want them to bne.
Up until around 2012 PC gaming and console were pretty much regarded as separate, with consoles having the third person adventure games and pcs with the simulators and RTSes.
That's just factually wrong. Even before the start of the PS360 generation, the PC got basically every Major release, with few exceptions.
Steam will probably end up being the go-to place for 2D gaming in the future.
Sony and Microsoft will shift to HMDs, while Nintendo will leave hardware altogether and become a developer/publisher only.

#1 The PC is straight up the only place to really play VR games. The PS4 has a VR headset but not only does it suck by comparison to the Vive (or even Oculus), but the amount of software available for both is a difference of night and day. PC has a giant head start on VR.
#2 VR was overhyped and has failed for now anyway. Nobody wants to make games for VR because nobody wants to wear a stupid headset right now. The tech needs more time and higher adoption and lower costs before this becomes a thing, and nobody really knows which way things are going.
With consoles you can meet people and share fond memories of your console and relate to one and another, with PC it's more DIY and customized creating a more individualist landscape.
