What the fuck are we doing here? Like not just on this site, but in general? What's the purpose of this shit, and why are we spending our limited time like this? We're in a vast universe where what we do physically is fucking meaningless and we just get cancer and die? We should focus on space flight and occupying other planets.. local ones first and their moons and in a 100 years perhaps we can go to the next star system and do the same.
We can trash those planets like we did this one. I mean we will pretend we're taking care of it.. but eventually the population on the new planet will be way to large to control without chaos.
and the funny thing is when we terra form it, it will take one little eff up to knock the system down and having millions or a billion people on say Mars will be impossible to evacuate back to Earth.
yeah.. we're centuries off. I think we basicly hit a limit of what we're capable of doing in the universe for some centuries. the only thing to do today is upload our memories and see if we can find a server across the universe to uplink to and see if they're advance enough to DNA us in "Paradise"

no, preserve planets, trash meteors and space debris.
We can mine space debris for precious materials to create materials necessary for endless energy machines (fusion etc).
Inhospitable planets will still be explorable you'll just have to virtualize yourself there, you can't be there physically though.
Mars will probably become like a place where people will just store things, I think they'll use it as a military base for our solar system.
It'll be interesting to see what race relations will be like later in the century, I mean, will the groids go off to their own solar system .. if they can do that then we have the technology to virtualize ourselves and transmit information to other regions of space via quantum telecommunication ... however at that point we wouldn't even need to consider things like colonizing other planets, since our consciousness could be housed on something that could just float around aimlessly in space.
I'm betting that space colonization will never happen and we'll go on to view that idea as a primitive artifact of the 20th century futurist mindset.
What is more likely to happen is that we'll become electromagnetic beams of energy and we won't even need this plane of existence.
