A while ago i saw the documentary The Bridge, it's about all the people that kill themselves by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Edgy i know. It was really interesting though because it kind of went into the stories of the people that murked themselves. Ha, there was one guy that survived. He said: The moment i jumped off, i regretted it.
Shit, no going back once you let go. He did actually make it though by some miracle and lived to tell the tale. Pretty crazy.
Anyway, recommendations? -

God Grew Tired of Us is about these Africans who go from Africa to live in the US. They're so removed from modern culture that they don't know what potato chips are, and are impressed that they come ready to eat. It's pretty cool to see the contrast in culture.
Earth from Space is exactly what it sounds like. They show satellite images of how the Earth's systems function, and you get to see how the fires in Northern California effect the winds in Asia and whatnot. That kind of stuff. The coolest bit about it is the satellite imagery, which comes from satellites which record all angles of the earth 24/7. Very interesting documentary. Makes the Earth look like a living organism. -

And they offer tons of different topics/genres to entertain, both fiction an non-fiction. I was thinking about watching the one about Lee Harvey Oswald. It's about his life more so than the JFK shooting, like, if he did do something as crazy as assonate the president, how did he grow up? Maybe he was set up by the 2 shooters on the grassy knoll? NAW

I don't buy conspiracy theories for shit anymore. I used to be big into conspiracy theories of all sorts but then I realized how retarded they all are. -

Eh, IDK how retarded conspiracy theories are. Sure, always be skeptical but that goes for the official narrative as well. I might check out snagfilms. -

A is a 1998 Japanese documentary film about the Aum Shinrikyo cult following the arrest of its leaders for instigating the sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway in 1995. The film focuses on a young spokesman for the cult Hiroshi Araki, a troubled 28-year-old who had severed all family ties and rejected all forms of materialism before joining the sect.
Director Tatsuya Mori was allowed exclusive access to Aum's offices for over a year as news media were continually kept out. However, despite the documentary's unique perspective on Aum's internal workings, it was not financially successful.
Mori released the sequel A2 in 2001, which followed the dissolution of the cult in the absence of their leader, Shoko Asahara.

2017-08-11 at 10:48 PM UTCI think I've mentioned it before but Dark Days is a documentary about a homeless enclave that settled in an unused train tunnel under NYC, how some of them ended up there, what they do day-to-day to get by.
If you haven't already watched it, I suggest checking out Helvetica. It's ostensibly about the history and design of that particular typeface but it touches on some general trends in typography. I think it's the film that gets a lot of people into typography in the same way Waking Life turns people on to philosophy. Also it's part of a trilogy with Objectified (about industrial design) and Urbanized (urban design) so if you like it there's more to check out.
