Not really feeling XV, the world is so empty and boring and UGLY to boot.
The characters are boring and JWO propaganda (pushing homosexuality).
So far the only redeeming factor of this game is the music and fishing mini-game.

Have to be honest, Daikatana is actually not HORRENDOUS, but it's a mediocre to bad game and it was only considered UTTER SHIT because it had been hyped up as the ultimate FPS, the greatest game of all time basically. It also doesn't help that the first level is an abortion, specially considering level design was 100% of what John Romero was supposed to be good at.
The graphics, AI, and gameplay (which is pretty broad, so I'll oversimplify it) are respectively; below average for the time (released in 2K1) and hold up terribly now due to mediocre art direction; fucking appallingly bad; and below average for the time, and garbage by today's standards.
After the abhorrent first level, the rest of the game is just pretty bad to meh.
So I still don't understand if SpectraL is trolling.
It is entirely possible that he is simply retarded; you might sometimes see mongoloid child playing with fire truck, going "CHOO CHOOOOOO!" and having the grandest old time in the world, so it's not really your place to tell him that a fire truck is a boring toy and trains are what goes CHOO CHOOO, firetrucks go WEEOOWEEOOWEEOO you retard.

That's the attraction for me, though: the nostalgic aspect. Even though it's kind of square and clunky and not very well thought out, it still has a certain fluidity of action which made the Quake explosion so popular. And many of the levels have some pretty clever puzzles to solve; always fun when you finally figure them out. Just because something is new doesn't automatically make it better, superior or more worthwhile. I like the pastel colors they use in the graphics engine as well. Retro.
