    Without IP bans you can register a new account immediately after being banned, I don't really like it but there aren't a lot of options. I guess you could do some evercookie kinda thing but that's pretty wank

    Doesn't break cookies at all though. Besides, you rotate exit nodes every 10 minutes by default when you use TOR.

    I have a way with people. Even though they hate me, they still look up to me. That's the way you want it to be when you run a BBS. Right now, you are trying to jam a square peg into a round hole, and the BBS is paying for it. With reg closed, things will stagnate fast. Complaints will ramp up. I'm sure you didn't put all this work into it just to have it come out like that. And those users didn't mutiny for no good reason. So, I guess it's all up to you now.

    but if you jamm it hard enough the laws of physics is going to take over and either the square peg is going to become chamfered, or the round hole will become squarish ....

    or they both give up the integrity of their shape and size to accommodate each other with one of them less happier than the other.
