2017-08-04 at 12:17 AM UTCI have the early model fat ps2.
Some of the ideas here are great. Honestly though, it's not really worth it to me to fiddle with it or try to do something else with it.
I hate throwing things away though. If no one will buy it, how do I get rid of it? Do I put it on eBay and hope someone covers the shipping? -

How unfortunate. I would have gladly walked you through the whole process. :(
Sell it on eBay as "non working/for parts" and get $30 at best. -

2017-09-18 at 4:02 PM UTCYeah might as well start fucking around with it and seeing what you can get to work. Then again, a souped up SBC can run some of the same games now, so that might be a better investment of time.

you can get a USB adapter for them; you could always rewire/solder them yourself but then you'd have to worry about drivers - I suspect the USB adapters translate the button presses into the HID/gamepad standard, making things a lot easier -

Any bluetooth adapter will recognize them. And if you attach it via mini (not micro) USB, i do believe windows automatically downloads the necessary drivers and treats it as a wired. PS3 are actually the recommended controllers for retropie. If someone has some in decent condition that they want to sell, holla at a nigga.
