   Thanks for the replies so far m8s. I think I'm understanding. Now I'm wondering what exactly makes something more refreshing due to its coldness. In other words, why when we're exercising or just hot in general do we find such satisfaction in an ice cold drink? If I'm not mistaken drinking cold beverages basically causes your body to heat up and defeats the purpose of drinking it for cooling purposes. So why does hot water, which would be better to drink after and during exercise, have to taste so shitty? HUH??!!

   It's the instant payoff, makes you hotter in the long run but right in that moment it's fucking heaven.
   And water just tastes shitty in general, hot or no, but it lacks the good shit you get from ice cold things

    Well i don't know about super cold liquid water but i do know about hot ice. If you can get enough pressure the water molecules will arrange in a crystalline structure, they call it ice VII.
