   The whole point of the ban log was transparency, and yet we have an account with no spam on it that's banned, with no reason listed for the ban. Kinda defeats the original purpose of the ban log.

   Like I said, making spam bans register in the same way as other bans is on the todo list. I can link the ticket if it makes you feel better. Also, as mentioned, I invite you to write the code to make it so. We know you have such vast technical expertise, it's not terribly hard, would probably take an hour or two to write with tests. I'd happily merge any pull request you made to fix the issue.

    You are only making work for yourself for nothing. All you have to do is add a note manually to the profile of the account you have banned. There's no need for automation.

Some of that is going to be spiders (this place is basically spiderheaven after all) but 13,136 of those requests were generated by authenticated users which like damn, that's not bad. I mean that's tiny on a commercial scale but it's a lot less dead than I remember this place being last year.
