Why not make non leatal traps like some molasses on a tarp with leaves so when they can't walk and have to sit for a moment to take their shoes off they stick to the same tarp with leaves all over them and the tarp. they'll be making too much noise from cursing and swooshing around to be a predator for your goods.

They'll know to stay away from your home or campground.. not worth the raid

Potassium nitrate is garden variety fertilizer. Sulfur is plentiful, and can be found around hot springs, or extracted from gas and petroleum. Charcoal can be easily made from wood.
